A Family-Driven History of Innovation
Gieo Forge, formerly known as G.O. Forge, was established in 1996 in Bangalore by Mr. B.A. Amarnath and his wife, Mrs. Sudha Amarnath. Coming from a long line of blacksmiths, Mr. Amarnath naturally followed in his family’s footsteps, building and expanding the business within the forging industry. Known for his innovative approach, he achieved a remarkable milestone—despite having no formal engineering education, he became the first in Karnataka to design, fabricate, and operate a horizontal ring rolling machine.
The company operated from its original location in Bangalore until 2013. In 2013, the entire manufacturing unit was moved to a new 88,000-square-foot facility in SIPCOT, Ranipet, which now functions as both the headquarters and primary production site.
Gieo Forge also holds the distinction of being the first forging company in India led by a woman, marking a significant step forward in gender representation within the industry.
